Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey today inaugurated the 28th National Conference of Association of Medical Biochemists of India at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur. Speaking on the occasion, he said that biochemistry plays an important role in the diagnosis and diagnosis of diseases. He highly appreciated the role of Biochemists and AIIMS Raipur during the Corona pandemic. Its importance was also understood by the general public during the Corona period. The treatment of many incurable diseases has also been possible through the research done in the field of biochemistry. Now a new variant of Corona, Omicron has been identified. He urged the experts to invent measures to identify and prevent it and help save the country and the state from this epidemic. On this occasion, participants from the country and abroad including Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS Raipur were present.

Governor Ms. Uikey welcomed the participants of this conference and expressed hope that through mutual dialogue in the conference, information about the latest technology of treatment of diseases will be given and its benefit will be available to the whole country including Chhattisgarh. He said that experts of biochemistry should also research the genetic diseases of Chhattisgarh and find ways to diagnose them.

He said that the importance of biochemistry is also being realized by the general public. Because many scientists have received Nobel Prize in the field of biochemistry, in which Arieh Warshal, who is considered a pioneer of biochemistry, is prominent. He did many researches through computer modeling and received the Nobel Prize in the year 2013 along with two other scientists. The use of biochemistry in the field of modern medicine has proved effective in the treatment of many incurable diseases. Biochemistry involves the microscopic analysis of body cells and blood and other fluids that are used by physicians to diagnose disease and monitor treatment. New research is being done in this area and the general public is also getting its benefits.

Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS Raipur, while thanking Governor Ms. Uike said that she always encourages the doctors and staff of AIIMS and helps in positive work. The doctors and staff of other departments including the Biochemistry department of AIIMS performed their duties by being dedicated during the first and second wave of Kovid-19. If there is any further epidemic or any other problem, then in that case AIIMS is fully prepared to face it. AIIMS has been making significant contributions in the field of treatment, medical education and research since its inception in 2012. Describing the contribution of Biochemistry as important, he expressed hope that through the conference, doctors would get an opportunity to learn new subjects. Dean Prof. sp. Earlier, AMBI Secretary Prof. Jasbinder Kaur presented the annual report of the association. Current President Prof. Anju Jain entrusted the responsibility of the association to the elected president Dr. Navjot Kaur. On this occasion, Governor Ms. Uike, Prof. Nagarkar and other guests also released the souvenir. In the conference Prof. Eli Mohapatra, Dr. Rachita Nanda, Dr. B.
