In compliance with the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the work of maintenance and repair of roads from Bastar zone to Surguja zone is being done expeditiously. The work of repair and restoration of the Keshkal valley road, which is known as the entrance gate of Bastar region, is being done on a war footing. Keeping in mind that the road construction work continues uninterrupted, the traffic of heavy vehicles has been stopped by the administration for the time being. Kondagaon Collector Shri Deepak Soni reached Keshkal Valley today and took stock of the road repair work. He directed the officials to complete the repair work expeditiously with quality. During this, he also inspected the quality of work by walking from the third to the seventh turning point of the Keshkal valley.

The road repair work in Keshkal valley of National Highway 30 is being carried out in a planned manner and in full swing. To ensure that the screw repair work is in accordance with the technical and quality standards, the duty of 5 sub-engineers has been imposed for regular monitoring. The executive engineer and sub-divisional officers of National Highways are also continuously monitoring this work. Collector Shri Soni prepared a plan for the extraction of ground water at the third turn of the Keshkal valley and instructed the officers to do cement concrete. Instructions have been given to ensure that information boards, reflector mirrors, marking on the road, indicator radium etc. have been given for safety guidelines at all the turns of Keshkal Ghat.
