Armurakasa women have sold chikki worth Rs 31 lakh

Chhattisgarh government is realizing the vision of rural economy of the state. Women are working on making Millet Chikki on a large scale in Armurkasa Rural Industrial Park of Janpad Panchayat Daundi of Balod district. Where the women of the village are happy to get work near their homes. 13 women are also doing meaningful work to continuously connect them with employment by contacting each other. By getting work, women are working as per their interest. Along with this, financial assistance has also started to the family.
The Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat Daundi of Balod district said that the women of the village have got employment due to the establishment of millet chikki production unit at Armurkasa Ripa. 23 of a total of Rs 41 lakh 574 in Rural Industrial Park. 89 tonnes of chikki has been produced. Women have sold Chikki worth Rs 30 lakh 87 thousand 892. The women making Chikki have got a net profit of Rs 53 thousand. Women are doing this work continuously. Mrs. Sunita Nirmalkar, the woman of the chikki making group, said that the millet chikki unit was started in Armurakasa from July 17, 2023. The district administration has also given training to women groups to make chikki. In which all the women have now become fully skilled in Millet Chikki manufacturing work. He told that along with this work, the women of the group are also involved in other activities. Due to which women are getting substantial income. Chickpeas are full of nutrients, small children and infant mothers like them very much and eat them with great fervor. Chikki also plays an important role in removing malnutrition.
