Raipur: Revenue Officer should review the revenue cases regularly: Minister Jaisingh Agrawal

Raipur, 7 December 2020. State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister  Jai Singh Agarwal has instructed the departmental officers to regularly review the revenue cases and resolve the cases within the stipulated time. Revenue Minister held a meeting of Revenue Officers in Raigad district today and reviewed the disposal of revenue cases. Higher education and sports minister of the state Mr. Umesh Patel was also present on the occasion.

Revenue Minister Mr. Agrawal while addressing the revenue officials said that due to corona infection, the government meetings and review work had been stopped for the last about 9 months, but even during this period, the revenue officers have performed their duties well. The Revenue Minister said that better work is being done by the officers here under the guidance of District Collector  Bhim Singh in Raigad district.

Revenue Minister  Agrawal said that the officers should be directed to coordinate with the local people’s representatives and get the development and public welfare works done on priority. He said that due to Raigarh district being an industrial area, there is already a possibility of establishing new dimensions of development here. He said that the work of local villagers should be ensured easily. Revenue Minister  Agrawal instructed all the subdivisional officers of the district, Revenue and Tehsildars to resolve the pending cases by regularly meeting their subordinate Revenue Inspectors (RI) and Patwaris every month. The Revenue Minister has said that all the Patwari and Revenue Inspectors should be present at their headquarters, So that the villagers do not have to visit the tehsils unnecessarily. He said that Patwari and revenue inspectors are the closest to the villagers. Their actions create the image of governance. Revenue Minister Mr. Agrawal gave instructions to start sub-tehsil at appropriate places in remote areas of the district from where the distance to the tehsil headquarters is more, and asked to prepare and submit a proposal to make tehsil.
In the meeting, Higher Education Minister  Umesh Patel said that it is due to the hard work and fairness of the revenue officials that the image of the state government is created. He said that the cases received under the Public Service Guarantee Scheme should be disposed of on time. Collector  Singh, during the review, presented information about the progress made in disposal of cases related to nomination cases, account sharing, demarcation, diversion, renewal of Nazul Pattas. He apprised the Revenue Minister Mr. Agarwal about the remarkable achievements made in the renovation of old leases in the urban area, free hold and the grant of ownership rights on the government land by charging a fixed amount. Collector Mr. Singh has assessed the damage caused to the houses and crops due to floods in the district in the past month of August.
