Raipur, 27 February 2021. A two-day research seminar on the historical saint tradition in Chhattisgarh was concluded by the Directorate of Culture and Archeology in the auditorium at Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum complex. 21 research papers were read in all the sessions of this seminar.
In the fourth academic session of the research seminar, Professor L.S. The corporation gave its statement on Swami Vallabhacharya and Acharya Ramendranath Mishra chaired the session and reviewed the research papers presented and highlighted the importance of the theme of the event. In the fifth session, Dr. Satyabhama Aadil addressed the gathering on Sant Kabir and Dhani Dharmadas. In the sixth session, Dr. Braj Kishore Prasad and Mr. Lalit Sharma gave brief statements on Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s birthplace in Panduka, Ashram and ancient meditation on meditation. Dr. Abha Rupendra Pal presided over the session.
In the seventh and final session of the symposium, the keynote speaker Dr. Puneet Kumar Rai, while highlighting the Indian saint tradition, discussed in detail the life journey of saint Gahira Guruji of Sarguja and his contribution in social perspective. Padma Shri Rajmohini Devi’s colleague Asha Manav recalled the struggles she had with the Bhumi Daan movement. After the conclusion of the academic sessions, cultural programs were organized, in which Dr. Purushottam Chandrakar and colleagues presented the saga of Swami Atmanand ji and Kabir Bhajan by Mahant Leeladhar Sahu.
