Re-election will be held on 23 February

Due to an error in symbol allocation in ward number 08 of Suregaon Gram Panchayat in Doondilohara development block of Balod district, wrong symbols were allotted to the candidates. Due to the wrong symbols allotted to two candidates in ward number 8 of Suregaon Gram Panchayat, their symbols were printed on the ballot paper. Due to this, the voting held on 17 February 2025 for the post of Panch for ward number 8 of Suregaon Gram Panchayat became corrupt.
On the basis of the report of the District Election Officer, the State Election Commission has declared the voting held on 17 February 2025 for the post of Panch in ward number 8 of Suregaon Gram Panchayat as void and has fixed the new date of voting as 23 February 2025.
