Raipur: Rapid expansion of health services in Raigad district: The work of increasing oxygen beds on a war footing

Raipur, 24 April 2021. Due to sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, medical facilities are being expanded in the state. In this series, oxygen beds and treatment facilities are available in Kovid hospitals in view of the increasing number of corona infected in Raigad district. The work of increasing the medical staff is also being done at the same speed. Collector Shri Bhim Singh has himself maintained a front for this. Oxygen beds are also being increased in developmental level community health centers along with government-run Kovid hospitals in the city. The work of augmenting oxygen beds at Kovid Care Center at KIT has been started on a war footing. Collector Mr. Singh instructed to start 60 beds initially in the administrative building with 100 oxygen beds in the first floor of KIT, which was increased to 100. Thus a total of 200 oxygen beds are being increased in KIT. Already 100 oxygen beds exist here. 300 beds with oxygen facility will be provided here with increased beds.

The district’s KIT operates 100 oxygen beds on the ground floor. To increase this, it was decided to build an oxygenated ward on the first floor as well. In view of the challenge of fast delivery of heavy oxygen cylinders to the place, Sky lift from Municipal Corporation and Hydra machine from Jindal have been installed on the instructions of Collector Mr. Singh. Man power has also been installed to mount the cylinders up to the ward. Which he inspected today. There he observed this entire process and gave necessary instructions to the officials concerned. So that cylinders can be delivered quickly and safely to the first floor. Along with this, Collector Mr. Singh inspected the arrangement of oxygen beds in the administrative building of KIT. He immediately gave instructions to put 60 beds there. Which will be increased to 100. For this, they made beds, lights, fans,
Similarly, 60 beds have been installed in the ground floor in the Medical College. Whose instructions were given by Collector Mr. Singh during his inspection recently. Today Collector Mr. Singh also inspected here and took stock of the preparations. Along with this, he inspected other wards there to increase the extra beds in the medical college and also reviewed the facilities available as per the Kovid protocol. He directed the departmental officers for the early commissioning of 24 beds with the support of CGMSC’s Oxygen Generation Plant in the ground floor of the Medical College.
* Increasing the number of oxygen beds in other places also *
During this, Collector Shri Singh said that instructions have been given for immediate commissioning of 36 beds of Parasada at Jindal Hospital, 30 beds of Lowing, 25 beds at Lailunga for oxygen beds. Along with this, 50 beds are also being started in Sarangarh. CMHO Dr. Kesari has given instructions to prepare 20-20 oxygen beds in all community health centers of the district. So that patients coming from rural areas can get immediate relief there. Collector Mr. Singh also added doctors, Instructions were given to increase the number of nursing and medical staff in hospitals with oxygen beds as per the requirement. He asked to increase the number of wardboys. At the government level, 20 doctors have been appointed in the district. Collector Mr. Singh contacted him and gave instructions to ADM Mr. Rajendra Katara to get Takal joining done. Along with this, instructions were given to CMHO to impose duties of government and private nursing college girl students in Kovid hospitals in the district.
* Instructions to increase security in Kovid hospitals *
Collector Mr. Singh inspected the MCH and instructed the police officers to increase the security of the hospitals. He said that family members should not be allowed inside the hospital. This also increases the risk of infection among family members. Some relatives were also present outside the hospital during the inspection. Collector Mr. Singh talked to him and got to know the condition of his admitted family. During this, he instructed the hospital management to keep their helpline numbers always operational.
