In Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2024, a free blood testing camp “Raktaveer” health education and awareness campaign was organized on a large scale by Dr. Priyanka Bissa Vyas team, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Community Health Center Magarlod and associated young friends of Chhattisgarh Nursing College.
“Raktaveer” campaign set a new world record by providing blood test cards of 23,180 people in just five days at Virat Sant Samagam. This blood test card includes height, weight, blood pressure, sugar, blood group, hemoglobin, sickling and HIV. Were checked for free. Golden Book of World Records representative Sonal Sharma announced the world record after due investigation. The candidates were honored by the Chief Minister’s wife Mrs. Kaushalya Devi, Endowment Minister Mr. Brijmohan Aggarwal and Gariaband MLA Mr. Rohit Sahu.
Dr. Sharda Thakur, BM, Health Department, Magarlod, said that 65 percent of the people who got tested did not even know about BP and sugar, but through Raktveer Abhiyan, health information reached lakhs of people. Nehru Youth Center District Officer Mr. Arpit Tiwari, Chhattisgarh. Administrative Officer of Nursing Bharavi Vaishnav, Principal Karsh ji, Guru Dr. Vasu Verma maintained and encouraged enthusiasm among all the volunteers.
Dr. Priyanka Bissa Vyas, honored by the President, said that a person remains healthy by controlling blood pressure, sugar and BMI. In this campaign, to bring awareness among the people, a round-up investigation was conducted in the entire fair, which was the most challenging. In this campaign, 195 volunteers and associates Ajay Boral, Ankita Tandon, Aishwarya, Srishti, Vinay, Aashi, Muskaan and the lab team Kishore Devangan, Santosh, Tarun, Gargishankar Sen, Ritesh, Sanjay and Bhuvan had special contribution.
Earlier in 2018, this campaign became India’s first blood test card in which blood test of 11,551 people was done and the card was made available to them. It was also praised at the international level. In Rajim Kumbh 2024, people from Italy and France also got themselves tested in this campaign.
