Lok Sabha MP Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today presented appointment letters to 2000 newly appointed teachers in the state at the ‘Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan’ organized at Nava Raipur fair ground. As a token from the stage of the conference, appointment letters were given to 20 of these candidates.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. T.S. Singhdev, School Education Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey along with cabinet members, parliamentary secretary, MLA, chairman of corporation board and many public representatives were present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that for the first time after the formation of the state, direct recruitment of teachers was done in the state. Advertisement was issued by the School Education Department in March 2019 for direct recruitment to 14,580 posts of lecturer, teacher and assistant teacher. A total of 10,834 candidates have been provided appointment letters against the advertised posts. At present, advertisement has been issued for direct recruitment to the posts of 12,489 lecturers, teachers and assistant teachers in May 2023. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has provided appointment letters to 232 candidates selected for the post of lecturer in this recruitment on August 12, 2023. Out of the advertised 5772 teacher posts, appointment letters are being issued to the candidates for 3449 posts. Out of these, 2000 candidates were given appointment letters today in the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan. Online counseling of candidates is under process for 6285 posts of Assistant Teacher.
The 20 teachers who have been provided appointment letters today include Mr. Rajesh Patel, Ms. Neha Bhoi and Ms. Pramila, District Korea, Ms. Varsha Dewangan, Mr. Shashank Sahu, Ms. Abha Ranjan, Ms. Manju Sidar, District Bastar, Ms. Suman, Ms. Kavita. Nirmalkar and Ms. Priya, District Kondagaon, Mr. Sonu Jaiswal, Mr. Aditya Verma, District Surguja, Mr. Chandrakant Gajendra, Mr. Deepak Kumar Verma, District Manendragarh-Bharatpur-Chirmiri, Mr. Yash Kumar Sahu, Ms. Geetika Kutare, District Kanker, Ms. Kunti Sahu , District Dantewada, Shri Kamesh, District Jashpur, Shri Rahul Singh and Ms. Roshni Singh, District Surajpur.
