Religion Minister held a meeting regarding the preparations of the fair
Raipur, 18 February 2021. The Maghi Punni Fair will be held at Rajim Triveni Sangam with simplicity following the Corona Guideline issued by the Central Government this year. Governor Sant Anusuiya Uike will be the chief guest at the Sant Samagam on 6 March. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s main hospitality will conclude the fair on March 11 and the fair will be inaugurated by Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant on February 27. Religious Trust and Religion Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu held a meeting of officials of the Department of Religion and Tourism in his Raipur residence office today and discussed the preparations for the fair.
In the meeting, Minister Sahu said that there will not be a large-scale cultural program at the fair venue. At the local level, only one program will be conducted by the cultural parties of Gariaband district in a day. There will also be tents for public awareness at the fair site to prevent corona infection. He instructed to ensure all necessary preparations at the fair site – including electricity, water, toilets and sanitation, CC TV camera. He said that he would go to Rajim on February 26 to take stock of the preparations. At the meeting, the fair including Secretary Religious and Religious Trust Mr. Anbalagan P., Tourism Board’s Managing Director Mrs. Ranu Sahu, Raipur Range Inspector General of Police Dr. Anand Chhabra, Collector Gariaband Mr. Nilesh Kshirsagar and CEO District Panchayat Mr. Chandrakant Verma and OSD Mr. Girish Mishra Committee officials were present.
