More than 6 lakh city dwellers will get the facility of uninterrupted traffic

The long awaited demand of the residents of Raipur has been fulfilled today. Public Works Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu inaugurated the 526 meter long Telghani Railway Overbridge built at a cost of Rs 35.54 crore near Raipur Railway Station and the 407 meter long and 7.5 meter wide Gogaon Railway bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 15.73 crore in Urkura-Sarona bypass rail line. Inaugurated the under bridge. By getting the gift of these two big construction works, the people of Raipur city will get smooth traffic facility and will get rid of the traffic jam here.
Along with more than 3 lakh common citizens from Telghani ROB, smooth traffic will be available to the entire urban area for platforms 6 and 7 of the railway station. Similarly, with the commencement of the Gogaon RUB, a population of more than 3 lakh in this area will be benefitted. Mr. Sahu expressed his thanks and gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on behalf of more than six lakh residents of the city for both these facilities.
On this occasion, Public Works Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu while addressing the local public said that both these bridges were among the priority works of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and the Chief Minister had also given instructions to complete them as soon as possible.
The Public Works Minister said that now the people of the city will not face any problem in coming and going through these two bridges. Today one corner of the city has been connected with the other corner and now the borders on this side and the other side have also disappeared. Along with traffic on both sides of the city from both the bridges, trade and business and interaction will also increase rapidly. He also told here that for the safety of the people, the movement of heavy vehicles has also been stopped from the old Telghani overbridge, now only two wheelers and small four wheelers will be able to pass through this bridge. With this, people will get convenience in commuting.
Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay said that Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has run many such schemes which have brought money into people’s pockets. Earlier the traffic system of the city was according to the population of 7-8 lakhs, but now it has increased to a population of about 25 lakhs. Taking advantage of the schemes of the government, people have also bought vehicles for their convenience, so it is the responsibility of the government to provide good roads for them to run. Fulfilling this responsibility, two new bridges have been inaugurated in the city today. I express my gratitude to the Chief Minister as well as the Public Works Minister for providing continuous free movement facility to the people.
