Proposal will be sent to competent authorities for action
Raipur, 13 July 2020. On the instructions of the Excise Commissioner, under the leadership of Divisional Udaanda Raipur, a special operation was carried out in the wake of complaints of irregularities found in domestic / foreign liquor shops. On Sunday, casual raids were conducted in Santoshi Nagar of Raipur, foreign liquor shop, Labhandi’s foreign liquor shop, Hirapur’s foreign liquor shop, Lakhnagar’s foreign liquor shop and Raipura (Sarona) foreign liquor shops. During the raids, a case was registered under the Excise Act for the sale of liquor at a rate higher than the rate prescribed by the government in the country and foreign liquor shop in Santoshi Nagar and foreign liquor shop located in Raipura (Sarona). The case will be presented to the competent authority to separate the accused sellers of these shops from the service.
The team formed by the Excise Department comprises the Deputy Commissioner Excise Shri SL Pawar, District Excise Officer, Mr. RL Bhardwaj, Assistant District Excise Officer Mr. Kalpana Rathore and Mr. Ajay Pandey along with a team of other constables in the country and foreign liquor shops. Guerrilla action was taken. Deputy Commissioner of Excise Department and Divisional Flying Officer informed that the partisan action will be taken from time to time.
