The state government has declared a public holiday for the government institutions and offices of the respective constituencies for the by-elections to be held on January 915 wards of 14 urban bodies of the state. There will also be a general holiday for voting on this day in polling areas.
Notification has been issued by the General Administration Department for public holiday and general holiday in polling areas on 9thVotes will be cast for the bye-election of ward councilors in urban bodies on January 9 from 8 am to 5 pm.
