Raipur: Proper arrangements for proper care of children, women and elderly people in lockdown: Chief Minister takes full care of health, safety and nutrition

Raipur, 09 April 2020.Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is taking full care of the health and nutrition of all the needy people including women, children, elderly people during the lockdown. For this, appropriate arrangements are being made under the guidance of the Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Mrs. Anila Bhendia. Due to the closure of Anganwadis, arrangements have been made to provide supplementary nutritious food to women and food (dry ration) for children through Anganwadi workers and assistants. Malnutrition women and children are also being provided door-to-door food. Keeping in mind the pensioners, the amount up to March has been deposited by the state government in the account of the beneficiaries, arrangements are being made to draw pension of 3 months in advance. The system of providing relief package to the beneficiaries under the Central Poor Welfare Scheme has also been completed.
Under the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign, an alternative arrangement of hot food has been provided with a dry ration of lockdown period to 3.34 lakh identified beneficiaries and supplementary nutritious food to 24.3 lakh beneficiaries. These include 2.22 lakh pregnant, 2.36 lakh infant women and 15 thousand teenager girls. The social welfare department has arranged for 22 thousand 500 needy people in lockdown. The effort of the department is that no women, disabled, elderly and common needy people remain hungry. Proper sanitation and necessary precautions are also being kept in the old age homes and children’s homes to prevent infection of corona epidemic. Arrangements have been made for the proper treatment of children and the elderly including their health check-up. Keeping in mind that there is no loss during lockdown of the children studying in government and non-governmental disabled welfare institutions, online education of children with special needs and special needs is being conducted online. Institutions are also being sanitized from time to time.
In order to avoid corona infection, the field staff, including all the safety standards, are being worked with full duty. Anganwadi workers are going door-to-door to contribute their utmost care. As per the instructions of Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Anganwadi workers and assistants are also providing dry ration to women and children, as well as teaching parents many interesting and informative things for children through mobiles. Due to the untiring efforts of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the condition of corona infection is under control in the entire state today. Every department is being constantly monitored. Which is being praised all over the country including the state.
