Raipur: Prompt disposal of remaining paddy in the committees: Chief Minister Mr. Baghel

 Raipur, 20 April 2021The Chief Minister. Bhupesh Baghel reviewed the progress of paddy procurement and custom milling in the Kharif marketing year 2020-21 in the state in a meeting held at his residence office in the capital here today. During this time, he gave necessary instructions for quick disposal of the remaining paddy in the committees. He also directed for proper maintenance of remaining paddy for disposal in the committees. 
    It is worth noting that out of the total 92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy procured in the Kharif marketing year 2020-21, 47.37 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is DO. Has been supplied to the millers and 19.68 lakh metric tonnes of paddy T.O. Storage centers have been provided through Till date, 4.59 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been sold through auction. Thus, currently 20.36 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is left in the committees for disposal. 
    Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi and Managing Director of Markfed Mr. Ankit Anand were present on the occasion.
