The State Council of Educational Research and Training, Chhattisgarh has issued instructions to organize special activities in all schools to commemorate ‘National Space Day’. National Space Day will be celebrated every year on 23 August to commemorate the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission, which aims to generate interest in science and space among the youth. The theme for National Space Day 2024 is “Touching lives by touching the moon: India’s space saga”.
The main activities to be held in schools on National Space Day will include organizing ‘Lectures on Chandrayaan Module’ on 22 and 23 August, displaying a special ‘Chandrayaan Module’ developed by NCERT. On this occasion, poster and essay, model building, quiz and painting competitions will be organized on various topics related to space. Also, a 30-minute video related to space science will be shown in schools.
