India’s boxer Vijender Singh defeats Ghana’s Eliasu Sule with a punch

The Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Stadium in the capital resonated with the noise of boxing lovers on Wednesday evening. The occasion was the international boxing match ‘The Jungle Rumble’. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also enjoyed boxing on this occasion. He said that professional boxing would become a means to develop Chhattisgarh into Khelgarh. He said that efforts are on to establish Chhattisgarh as a sports state Khelgarh. Boxer Vijender Singh’s professional fight will further strengthen this plan. We not only have to encourage the people, but also prepare to make Chhattisgarh recognized as a sports superpower.
The Chief Minister said that it was good to come to this event. This is a historic moment for Chhattisgarh. On the question of efforts to promote sports in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister said that a sports academy has been established in the state and a separate authority has also been created for sports. With this, the work of development of infrastructure and grooming of sportspersons will be done simultaneously. Mr. Baghel said that road safety match of cricket was held in Chhattisgarh. Many big players have shown their game. Now continuous efforts are being made in Chhattisgarh, sports should be promoted and youth should be inspired for sports.
Mr. Baghel further said that an environment of sports is being created in Chhattisgarh. The state has already been represented in women’s hockey, now our daughter Aarushi Kashyap has won a medal in badminton in the Commonwealth Games. Archery also has many possibilities here. Such events will give a new dimension to sports in the state.
Five interesting matches in the competition
In the light weight group, the first match was between Amey Nitin and Asad Asif Khan. Asad won the match. On the other hand, the second match was between Ashish Sharma and Karthik Satish Kumar, in which Karthik Satish Kumar was declared the winner. The third match took place between Shaikom and Gurpreet Singh. Gurpreet Singh became the winner of this match.
The fourth match of boxing took place between Sachin Nautiyal vs Faizan Anwar. Faizan Anwar won the game from Sachin Nautiyal in one minute 17 seconds. Sachin Nautiyal was hit by the punch of the opponent player Faizan and left the ring and went out. Under the rules of the game, the referee declared Faizan the winner.
Competition between Vijender-Sule was the center of everyone’s attraction
In this boxing competition, the center of attraction was the match between professional Indian boxer Vijender Singh and Eliasu Sule of Ghana. In this match, Vijender Singh defeated Eliyasu Sule with his strong punch. In the fifth and last match of The Jungle Rumble, Eliasu was defeated in just 02 minutes 07 seconds. Vijender Singh inflicted such an injury to Eliyasu Sule with his strong punch and he could not make a comeback, giving Vijender Singh the victory.
It is worth noting that this is the first professional boxing match in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Vijender Singh, India’s first professional boxer, was training extensively for this match. Vijender Singh thanked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for his support for this match.
It may be mentioned that on 8th June, professional boxer Vijender Singh had met Chief Minister Mr. Baghel and requested him to organize a professional boxing match in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister accepted this request and in the same vein, on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, an International Boxing match was organized in the capital Raipur. Vijender Singh entered the ring after almost 19 months. For this, he has taken rigorous training in Manchester.—
