Under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, a total of 30 lakh 56 thousand 184 quintals of compost has been produced so far by women groups from cow dung being purchased at Rs. 48 thousand 31 quintals of super compost and 18,924 quintals of super compost plus manure are included, which are being sold through societies at the rate of Rs.10, Rs.6 and Rs.6.50 per kg respectively.
Out of the compost produced in Gauthans, 18 lakh 89 thousand 488 quintal vermi compost, 3 lakh 94 thousand 544 quintal super composter and 3276 quintal super plus compost have been sold. At present, 6 lakh quintal vermi compost is ready in 6581 Gothans of the state, packaging is being done for its sale.
Apart from manure from cow dung in Gauthans, women groups are earning profit by manufacturing and selling cow-wood, diyas, incense sticks, idols and other materials. Apart from this, production of vegetables and mushrooms, poultry, goat, fisheries and animal husbandry as well as various other income-oriented activities are being conducted by women groups in Gothans, due to which the women groups have earned an income of Rs 122 crore 52 lakh so far. It’s over There are 14,150 women self-help groups directly associated with Gothans in the state, whose membership is 1,66,928. Electricity and natural paint and other materials are also being produced from purchased cow dung in Gauthans.
