Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain reviewed Energy and Finance Department in Mantralaya Mahanadi here today in order of priority schemes of the State Government. The Chief Secretary took information from the officials regarding the plan to develop a state-of-the-art online complaint and redressal system for the convenience of electricity consumers. Officials of Energy Department said that according to the announcement of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, information was given regarding redressal of online complaints related to electricity through Mor Bijli mobile app. Officials told that toll free number-1912 can be used for electrical complaints and redressal. The Chief Secretary gave necessary guidelines to the departmental officers regarding the recovery of pending electricity duty from government departments and industries, including the recovery of dues from the officials of the Energy Department. For the convenience of the farmers, the Chief Secretary inquired in detail about the arrangement of electric lines on the banks of the river, new power plant, separate-agri feeder in rural areas and revamped distribution sector scheme. The Chief Secretary has instructed the officials of the Energy Department to prepare a comprehensive action plan for electrified settlements and if any house in Majre Tolo has been left out of electrification. Similarly, during the review of the Finance Department, various departments have been instructed to work in coordination with other departments including Commercial Tax, Mineral, Excise, Water Resources, Transport, Revenue, Stamp and Registration for government revenue collection. Officials of Energy Department, CREDA, Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited and Finance Department participated in the meeting.
