Due to the comprehensive economic reforms of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has become the fifth largest economy of the world today. GST and tax reforms have simplified the tax system and strengthened revenue collection. Chartered Accountants are playing a major role in this development journey of India and their participation will also be important in achieving the goal of developed India 2047. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the national workshop ‘National Conference on Bank Audit and AI’ organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in the capital Raipur today. On this occasion, he also released the special logo of CA Chhattisgarh.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the biggest tool of the future

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the intellectual class always adopts new technologies and AI is one such game-changer technology. He believed that AI will not only further empower the CA profession but will also increase the quality and speed of this field. He also highlighted the possibilities and challenges related to AI.

Describing the establishment of ICAI as a historic achievement of the Indian accounting sector, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this institute which started with 1600 people in 1949 has today become a strong organization of more than four lakh members, who are fulfilling economic responsibilities across the country.

Investment increased due to new industrial policy, state received investment proposals worth more than 4 lakh crores

While discussing Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this policy is attractive for investors and takes care of all sections. So far, investment proposals worth more than Rs 4 lakh crore have been received. He said that the availability of rare minerals like lithium in the state and the establishment of semiconductor industry will give a new boost to the state’s economy. He said that in the last 15 months, the state government has taken many visionary decisions, due to which the state is developing rapidly and employment opportunities are increasing. Effective implementation of public welfare schemes is proving to be helpful in the economic empowerment of citizens.

Chhattisgarh Vision Document 2047: Important role of the state in developed India

Chief Minister Shri Sai, while referring to Chhattisgarh Vision Document 2047, said that Chhattisgarh will play a leading role in building a developed India. More than 3,000 chartered accountants of the state will become partners in it.

ICAI National President Shri Charanjot Singh Nanda gave information about the development journey of the organization from its inception (1949) till date. He also shed light on the challenges and responsibilities associated with the work of a Chartered Accountant and said that all the CAs of the country will together make their valuable contribution in realizing the Prime Minister’s dream of a developed India by 2047.

On this occasion, state media in-charge CA Mr. Amit Chimanani, CA Mr. Pankaj Shah, CA Mr. Abhay Chhajed, CA Mr. Vikas Golchha along with members of ICAI’s Raipur, Bhilai, Bilaspur and Raigarh branches were present.
