President Smt. Draupadi Murmu today met and interacted with students and other members of specially protected tribes at Raj Bhavan on the second day of her stay in Chhattisgarh. Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan and Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel were specially present on this occasion. Mrs. Murmu said that children should move forward using their full potential and also take their society forward. 
    President Smt. Murmu, while interacting with the members of the specially protected tribes of the state, Baiga, Pahari Korwa, Kamar, Birhor and Abujhmad, said that whenever she tours the country, she definitely meets the members of the specially protected tribes there. We know that they are educationally and socio-economically backward. Those who are weak in the society should be encouraged. Today our country has reached the moon. PVTG should also move forward. By taking advantage of the schemes of the Central and State Government, they should become economically empowered and contribute to the progress of the country. 
    President Smt. Murmu interacted with the children of special backward tribes. The children talked openly with him about their dreams and plans for the future. Kumari Vanshika Nureti, a student of Abujhmudia tribe of Narayanpur district, who studies in Class IX in Prayas Vidyalaya here, said that the state government is providing good coaching for NEET preparation. Taking advantage of this she wants to become a doctor. Miss Mahi of Munar village also studies in Prayas Vidyalaya of Raipur and wants to serve the country by becoming a doctor. She was very happy to meet the President and thanked him for giving her this opportunity. Om Prakash Maravi, a student of Baiga tribe of Kabirdham district, also wants to become a doctor and want to bring laurels to his parents along with serving the society. Mr. Sukhram Nureti, a resident of Kohameta village of Abujhmad area, said that he started his career after studying in Prayas residential school. has made. Presently he is working as an assistant professor in Bastar district. Expressing his gratitude to the state government, he said that by taking advantage of its schemes, he has created a secure future for himself. More than 1000 educated youth from special backward tribes have been employed in government services by the state government. For the first time in the state, the residents of 22 Kamar tribal villages of Dhamtari district have been given habitat rights. Which has helped in the conservation of the Kamar tribe as well as the conservation of the forest. For which the members of the Kamar tribes expressed gratitude. Mrs. Murmu expressed happiness after meeting everyone and encouraged them. More educated youth have been employed in government services. For the first time in the state, habitat rights have been provided to the residents of 22 Kamar tribe villages of Dhamtari district. Which has helped in the conservation of Kamar tribe as well as the conservation of the forest. For which the members of Kamar tribes expressed gratitude. Mrs. Murmu expressed happiness after meeting everyone and encouraged them. More educated youth have been employed in government services. For the first time in the state, habitat rights have been provided to the residents of 22 Kamar tribe villages of Dhamtari district. Which has helped in the conservation of Kamar tribe as well as the conservation of the forest. For which the members of Kamar tribes expressed gratitude. Mrs. Murmu expressed happiness after meeting everyone and encouraged them. 
At the beginning of the programme, the Secretary of the Tribal Department Shri DD Singh gave the welcome address. He informed about the work being done by the government regarding the development of specially protected tribes. The members of the tribe accorded a traditional welcome to the President Mrs. Murmu and presented her with Biranmala, Khumri and Kalgi Phenta. Books published by Tribal Research on special tribes were presented to all the guests including the President. 
On this occasion, the Secretary to the Governor Mr. Amrit Khalkhon, Commissioner Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department Mrs. Shammi Abidi, Deputy Secretary Mr. Deepak Kumar Agarwal, along with members of tribal communities were present in their traditional attire.
