Raipur, 5 February 2022. The process of arranging chemical fertilizers for the upcoming Kharif season 2022 has been started. The Agriculture Department has given approval to Markfed for advance purchase of 3.20 lakh metric tonnes of chemical fertilizers for Kharif 2022 from now on.
Joint Secretary Agriculture Shri K.C. Paikra, in a letter sent in this regard to the Managing Director Markfed, has asked to store the chemical fertilizers being purchased in advance as far as possible in the godowns of marketing associations and societies. In addition to 110 double lock centers operated by the marketing union, arrangements should be made for direct delivery of fertilizers by the companies to the double lock centers and godowns of the societies declared by the registrar cooperative society, so that the transportation cost can be reduced. While storing fertilizers in advance, it should be ensured that there is no shortage of any fertilizer in Kharif season 2022. During the storage of fertilizers in double lock centers and societies from rakepoint, fertilizer sacks should not be torn from hook and the wastage of fertilizers should be minimized during transportation. Particular attention should be paid to this. He has asked for advance storage of fertilizers according to the demand in the double locks and committees of remote areas without access.
