The pre-examination for admission in class 11th of Prayas Residential Schools run by Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department will be held on Sunday, 21st July 2024 from 11 am to 1.30 pm at various examination centers. According to the information received from the Commissioner of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, the Prayas Residential School Scheme of the Chhattisgarh Government is an ambitious scheme. The objective of the scheme is to provide excellent education to the students studying in government and non-government schools located in Naxal-affected districts and tribal sub-plan areas. Students are prepared and enabled from the beginning through special coaching to succeed in competitive examinations for admission in prestigious educational institutions at the national level. Every year a large number of students are selected from Prayas Residential Schools and get admission in higher institutions. 9 Prayas Residential Schools are operating in the state. 148 seats are vacant under various caste groups in class 11th of these schools. Admission to the vacant seats will be through a prelims exam. The question paper of the entrance exam will be of class 10th level. To appear in the exam, it is mandatory to pass the class 10th board exam with a minimum of 60 percent marks or equivalent grade.
