Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahanta has said that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh is creating a favorable environment for the establishment of new industries in the state. This is creating new employment opportunities. He said that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh state has been made after studying industrial policies of various states in depth. Dr. Mahant was addressing a one-day district level workshop by the Department of Commerce and Industry at District Headquarters Janjgir today. The program was chaired by Industries Minister  Kavasi Lakhma. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T.S. Singhdev was also present.
Dr. Mahant further said that during the tenure of the previous government, 237 MoUs have been set up for setting up industries in the state. Occurred but industries were not established. Around 790 acres of such industries have been acquired back by the government. He asked to take action to allot this vacant land for setting up new industries. On the demand of setting up a sugar factory in Janjgir, he said that farmers here should start sugarcane production. He said that land has been allotted for setting up 26 plants in Kapan Industrial Area of ​​the district, all industrialists should ensure action to plant it soon. He did the KSK Instructions were also given to take action against the plant occupying 100 acres of land in place of 100 acres. Dr. Mahanta whipped out Champa, Kanchan and Kansa emphasized the need to preserve and promote the industry. He instructed the collector to observe the process of preparing thread and cloth from the stem of banana and linseed at village Seoni in Janjgir district and encourage people associated with this business.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Manhat directed the general manager of District Industries and Trade Center BP Wasnik to contact the new entrepreneurs, industrialists and industrialists in the district constantly and make them aware of the new industry policy of the state and ensure its benefits .
Addressing the workshop enterprise conference, the Minister of Industry, Mr. Kavasi Lakhma said that the new industrial policy of the state is one of the best industrial policies of the country. He gave detailed information about the grants given by the government in the Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Backward Classes dominated areas under this policy. Mr. Lakhma said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the industrial policy of Chhattisgarh has been prepared by studying the policies of the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra and in consultation with local industrialists. He said that Chhattisgarh’s industries continued uninterrupted during the lockdown during the Corona period. Mr. Lakhma said that at a time when unemployment in the country is increasing, About 40 thousand people have got employment in the last two years after the formation of new government due to better industrial policy of Chhattisgarh. Mr. Lakhma said that under the Single Window System, permission will now be obtained from the Department of Industries at one place to set up the industry. He said that food processing will be encouraged in new industries. Private land will not be acquired in tribal areas for industries.
In-charge of Janjgir district, Health and Family Welfare Minister T.S. Singhdev said that one such unit should be established in all the development blocks of Chhattisgarh, where at least 500 people can get employment locally. He said that initiative will be taken to establish 200 such local units. Mr. Singhdev said that the former Minister, Late Bisahu Das Mahant, worked to bring Kosa product of Janjgir district to abroad. He said that now there is a need to explore such possibilities. He said that we will be able to realize the vision of “Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh” only when the potential of the enterprise is with everyone.
MLA Mr. Saurabh Singh, Mrs. Indu Banjare and District Panchayat President Mrs. Yenita Chandra also addressed the workshop. Collector Mr. Yashwant Kumar presented a report based on the state of industrial development in the district.
