Raipur, 22 November 2020Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu has said that police should be seen in action to prevent crimes. He said that night patrolling should be done compulsorily in every police station areas for prevention of crimes. Strict action should be taken on the sale of intoxicants and illicit liquor in coordination with medical and excise authorities. Sahu was reviewing law and order and prevention of crimes through video conferencing at his residence office in Raipur today. Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhyay, Additional Chief Secretary Home Subrata Sahu, Director General of Police DM Other officials including Awasthi were present.
Home Minister Sahu asked the Superintendents of Police to identify goons, miscreants, to increase the patrolling, to check the CCs at the cross-roads. T.V. Increase the number of cameras. Keep an eye on visitors from outside the hotels. Keep the names of the criminals informed confidential. He said that in the busiest areas of cities and in major business establishments and shops, C.C. T.V. Encourage camera installation. From time to time, meetings of businessmen and public representatives should also be held.
Home Minister Sahu said that police work should not disturb the general public. The job of the police is to provide security to the general public. He said that information systems should be strengthened to prevent crimes. He said that special vigilance should be taken to prevent human trafficking. Mutual reconciliation should be done through family counseling centers on crimes related to women, especially on domestic violence. Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhyay said that through the police friend, the public should be seen in action to connect and control crimes. He suggested regular check-ups on possible locations of alcoholism, intoxication, gambling, betting and monitoring the latest criminals.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Subrata Sahu instructed to be vigilant for prevention of corona infection along with law and order. He instructed to conduct thermal screening, oxygen level testing of passengers at airports and railway stations, and to provide home quarantine to Corona infected. Director General of PoliceDM Awasthi also directed the police to work quickly to prevent crimes. Inspector General of Police of all the divisions, Inspector General of Police and Superintendent of Police of all the districts participated in the video conferencing.
