Raipur, 11 August 2021. Under the Chhattisgarh Compensatory Forest Plantation, Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA), the Forest Department has completed 100 percent plantation work in 5 thousand 41 hectares in excess of the target 4 thousand 391 hectares during the current rainy season 2021. Under this, 42 lakh 14 thousand saplings have been planted against the target of 41 lakh 68 thousand. It is worth mentioning that under the guidance of Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, this year about one crore saplings are being planted by the department under various schemes.
Out of this, planting of 11 lakh 36 thousand 726 saplings has been completed in one thousand 254 hectare area under Bilaspur Forest Circle. Similarly, 93 thousand 335 plants in 87 hectare area under forest circle fort, 7 lakh 4 thousand 391 plants in one thousand 01 hectare area under forest circle Jagdalpur and 3 lakh 75 thousand 309 plants in 501 hectare area under forest circle Kanker. Planting has been completed. Apart from this, planting of 3 lakh 55 thousand 568 saplings in 419 hectare area under forest circle Raipur and 14 lakh one thousand saplings in one thousand 425 hectare area under forest circle Surguja has been completed.
