Raipur, 30 July 2021. The construction of a pucca road on the initiative of the government from Tikripadar to Deora in Bastar district of Vananchal has made it easy for devotees to reach the ancient Shiva temple located here. Here, on the road going from Dhanpunji to Tiriya, from Tikripadar to Deora, the Public Works Department has built a paved road with a bridge and culvert at a cost of Rs 4 crore 65 lakh. The road was inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel through video conferencing on 21st June.
It is worth mentioning that in Deora, situated on the border of Chhattisgarh and Odisha, there is a temple of Shiva among the dense forests, which is known as Jhadeshwar Mahadev. Here in the temple there is a Swayambhu Shivling, for which devotees reach in large numbers from Chhattisgarh as well as from the border state of Odisha. An ancient Devi temple is also established near it, where a fair is held twice a year on the occasion of Kartik Purnima and Mahashivratri. The villagers have expressed their gratitude to the government and the district administration for the construction of the road.
