The land of Patan is the land of freedom fighters. The sons of this soil had the courage to raise their voice against the misrule of the British. We bow down to him. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said this at Dr. Khubchand Baghel Jayanti function of Manva Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj Patan Raj, organized at village Darbar Mokhali of Patan development block of Durg district. Here he unveiled the statue of freedom fighter Late Shri Ghanaram Banchor and Late Shri Gandlal Banchor. Along with this, he inaugurated the newly constructed rest house of Water Resources Department at Darbar Mokhali at a cost of Rs 46 lakh 88 thousand. Along with this, he also inaugurated various construction works worth Rs 1 crore 21 lakh 75 thousand at Village Darbar Mokhali and Semri.
Addressing the function, Mr. Baghel said that I am deeply happy that Darbar Mokhali is my neighboring village, where our forefathers participated in the freedom struggle. Late Gaindlal Banchore was the first lawyer of the area. Taking inspiration from Gandhiji, he joined the freedom struggle. If you look at the details of the letters he wrote to Chhatar Singh during that period, you will see how hard our forefathers fought during the freedom struggle. Referring to Dr. Khubchand Baghel’s song ‘Gajab Vitamin Bhare Hai, Chhattisgarh Ke Basi Ma’, he said that our forefathers not only wanted freedom from the British, but also wanted a system that would be proud of their Chhattisgarhi culture. . We have worked towards saving the Chhattisgarhi culture by following the path shown by our forefathers.
We have celebrated Chhattisgarh’s food tradition and hardworking culture by celebrating Bore-Basi Day. Today, Chhattisgarh has been recognized in the whole country for its beautiful and distinctive culture. We provided a national platform to our songs, music, art and skills. Tribal dance festival was organized for the first time, in which artists from India and abroad participated. We are working to save the historical mythological heritage of Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is installing Mahtari’s statue in every district, which was the dream of our forefathers is now being fulfilled. The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh state was formed on the occasion of Dr. Khubchand Baghel’s 100th birth anniversary, but the true sense of becoming a state has been realized now, when we are moving forward with our cultural values.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also discussed the schemes of Narva, Garva, Ghurva, Bari and rural development. Also discussed the positive changes that have taken place in various fields. He also announced upgradation of High School in Darbar Mokhali and beautification of Sheetla Talab.
The Central President of Chhattisgarh Manwa Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj, Mr. Chow Ram Verma outlined in detail the personality and work of Dr. Khubchand Baghel, the first dreamer of Chhattisgarh state. He threw light on the biography of freedom fighters Late Gandlal Banchore and Late Ghanaram Banchore.
