People who lost their lives in the tragedy that occurred during the partition of the country were remembered

On the eve of Independence Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated a photo exhibition based on the horrors of Partition at Telibandha pond complex in the capital Raipur.
In the exhibition, the poignant moments of the biggest tragedy in human history that occurred during the partition of the country have been displayed through photographs. Chief Minister Shri Sai remembered the lakhs of Indians who lost their lives in this tragedy and suffered the pain of displacement. Chief Minister Shri Sai and Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal lit the flame in the memory of those who lost their lives during the partition and paid homage to them. It is noteworthy that while remembering the tragedy of the partition of India and Pakistan on 14 August 1947 at the time of independence of the country, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had announced on 14 August 2021 that Partition Horror Day would be celebrated every year on 14 August.
To promote environmental protection, the Chief Minister distributed saplings to the citizens under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, an appeal of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and appealed to the people to protect trees and plants. On this occasion, senior leaders Shri Ajay Jamwal, Shri Shivprakash, Shri Pawan Sai, Shri Anurag Singhdev, Shri Rampratap Singh, former MP Shri Sunil Soni, Raipur Rural MLA Shri Motilal Sahu and other dignitaries were present.
