A delegation of Panchayat representatives of Sahaspur Lohara development block of Kabirdham district met Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here today under the leadership of MLA Pandaria, Mrs. Mamta Chandrakar. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for increasing the honorarium of the Panchayat representatives.
The Block President of Sarpanch Sangh, Shri Sheshnarayan Singh Bais apprised that continuous efforts are being made by the Panchayat representatives to complete the development works on priority on time. He also politely invited the Chief Minister to visit Pandariya assembly constituency.
It is noteworthy that the honorarium of District Panchayat Presidents has been increased from 15 thousand to 25 thousand, the honorarium of District Panchayat Vice-Presidents has been increased from 10 thousand to 15 thousand and the honorarium of District Panchayat members has been increased from 6 thousand to 10 thousand per month. The honorarium of Janpad Panchayat Presidents has been increased from 6 thousand to 10 thousand, the honorarium of Janpad Panchayat Vice-Presidents has been increased from 4 thousand to 6 thousand and the honorarium of Janpad Panchayat members has been increased from 1 thousand 500 to 5 thousand per month. The allowance of Sarpanch has been increased from Rs.2000 to Rs.4,000 and that of Panches from Rs.200 to Rs.500 per month.
