Raipur: Paintings of freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh will be installed in tribal museum

Selected painting will be used in state level painting competition

The Tribal Museum, which is going to be built in Nava Raipur, will have attractive paintings of freedom fighters and people’s leaders of Chhattisgarh. Selected paintings of the artists will be used in the painting competition organized in the memory of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh. On the closing occasion of this competition organized from December 10 to December 12 in the capital Raipur, Commissioner cum Director, Tribal Research and Training Institute, Smt. Shammi Abidi, while addressing the artists, expressed her views. 166 artists participated in this painting competition. 

        Throwing light on the martyrdom of Martyr Veer Narayan Singh, Mrs. Shammi Abidi said that the freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh have a valuable contribution in the freedom struggle of the country. The history and achievements of tribal people’s leaders have been mentioned in detail in the book ‘Adi Virudhan’ published by the Tribal Research and Training Institute. This painting competition was organized in two genres – canvas painting and drawing seat painting. Canvas Painting Competition- In the age group of 16 to 25, Rupendra Sahu got first, Gaurav Kumar got second and Dianshu Dewangan got third place. Deepak Jurri, Suryakant Bhoi, Gaurav Kumar Patel, Mukesh Kunjam and Satish Sahu received consolation prizes. 

    In Canvas Painting Competition- Above 25 age group Mr. Prakash Chandra Singh got first, Pankaj Yadav got second and Harish Kumar Gond got third place. Ms. Surbhi Verma, Shri Hemant Kumar Dhruv, Ku. Prashant Verma, Mr. Ajay Deshkar, Mr. Deepak Kumar Sharma received consolation. Canvas Painting Competition: Rs 11,000 for the first prize, Rs 8,000 for the second and Rs 6,000 for the third prize, certificate and insignia in the age group of 16 to 25 and above 25. were done. In the consolation prize, 5-5 participants were given a prize money of one thousand rupees and a certificate.  

    Drawing Seat Painting Competition – In the age group of 12 to 18 years, Ugresh Banjara got first, Prayag Khalkho got second and Amritansh S. Nath got third place. Ms. Nancy Mahilange, Ms. Sania Kumar, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Netam, Ms. s. Tanya Devi and Shri Tarn Kurre received consolation prizes. In the drawing seat painting competition, Girja Shankar Sahu stood first in the age group of 18 to 30, Ku. Pushpa Netam got second and Punaram Nishad got third position. Mr. Trilok Thakur, Ms. Surbhi Agrawal, Shri Amit Ananth, Shri Onkeshwar and Premlal Paik received consolation prizes. Drawing Seat Painting Competition – In the age group of 12 to 18 and 18 to 30, first prize Rs.5000, second prize Rs.3000 and third prize Rs.2000, Awarded certificate and memento. 5-5 participants in each category were given a consolation prize of one thousand rupees each and a certificate. 

    The jury of the painting competition included President Kala Academy Chhattisgarh Mr. Yogendra Tripathi, senior painter Mr. Hukum Lal Verma and assistant professor of fine art painting department of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh Mr. Sandeep Kindo. Mr. Yogendra Tripathi of the jury said that all the artworks were very beautiful in themselves. It was very difficult to choose one among them. He congratulated and congratulated all the participants of the painting competition. The program was inaugurated by Shri A.K. Gadhewal and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Pragyan Seth also addressed.
