Inspection of works conducted in Bastar

Shri Anil Kumar Jha, Secretary, Central Tribal Ministry, inspected the works being conducted in the district during his two-day stay in Bastar district. Along with better publicity of the products of Bastar Kosa, he directed to open outlets in other big cities including the country’s capital Delhi. On this occasion, Tribal Commissioner Mrs. Shammi Abidi told that discussions have been held with Amazon, Flipkart for the sale of the product.
Union Secretary Mr. Jha on Friday observed the activities of Eklavya Vidyalaya, Silk Thread Processing Center, Kosa Sales Center Adishilp, Badal Academy located in Asana, Trifood Park located in Babusemara, Waste Management Center and Cashew Processing Center located in Bakavand and Ripa Center in Turinar on Saturday. Did. On this occasion, Secretary Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare Mr. DD Singh, Commissioner Mrs. Shammi Abidi, Commissioner Bastar Mr. Shyam Dhavde, Collector Mr. Chandan Kumar, Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Mr. Prakash Sarve and other officers were also present.
During the inspection, Central Secretary Shri Jha gave instructions to further improve the system of Eklavya Vidyalaya. The children of the school presented a cultural program which was appreciated by the Central Secretary and other officials. Secretary Mr. Jha appreciated the writing work being done for the protection and promotion of tribal culture’s musical instruments, language and dialect in Badal Academy. Appreciating the economic benefits given to women groups by Bakavand cashew processing, he observed all the stages of cashew processing and becoming the final product. The Union Secretary directed to complete the remaining work of construction of Trifood Park at the earliest. On Saturday, Secretary Mr. Jha appreciated the innovations being done in the district after observing the economic activities conducted at the Ripa Center of Turenar, Darbha’s tourist destination.
