Chief Minister participated in IBC 24 Swarnsharda Scholarship 2024 program

42 students including 37 topper girls from 33 districts were honoured

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today attended the IBC 24 Swarnasharda Scholarship 2024 program organized at a private hotel in the capital Raipur.

While addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that this award has not only boosted the morale of the daughters but they are also getting financial help. This is a matter of great happiness. This is a big help for the promising children of poor families to build their future. The best thing is that these awards are being given at the right time. College admissions are going on right now. Our topper sons and daughters will be able to pursue further studies easily by getting scholarships. 

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our government has a special emphasis on increasing the quality of education in the state. We have re-started the Saraswati Cycle Yojana so that the distance of the school does not become a hindrance in the education of daughters. Children of poor families who are dreaming big in life and want to serve the country by becoming administrative officers. For such Scheduled Caste-Tribe children, our government is providing the facility of Tribal Youth Hostel in the country’s capital Delhi. We have increased the capacity of this hostel from 80 to 185 seats so that more and more children can get free facility for studies in Delhi.

Similarly, we are concerned about the bright future of the children of Shramveer families. We are giving these children financial help of Rs 2 lakh, in which one lakh is for buying a scooty and 1 lakh is for their further studies. 

To increase the quality of education, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the PM Shri Yojana. 211 schools of Chhattisgarh are included in this scheme, we hope that this number will increase further. Under the PM Shri Yojana, an amount of Rs 2 crore is being given to a school. With the help of this amount, the quality of education will also increase along with the infrastructure of the schools.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that we are constantly trying to increase the quality of education in the state. We have also implemented the new education policy. We have special emphasis on skilling of children so that along with education, they are fully prepared for employment. IBC 24 Chairman Shri Suresh Goyal also addressed the program. MLA Smt. Bhavna Vohra and members of IBC group were present on this occasion.
