Chief Minister announced the statue of freedom fighters late Nathuram Tikriha, late Suklal Tikriha and late socialist Gokul Prasad Tikriha in village Silghat.
Raipur, 19 December 2020. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today unveiled the statue of freedom fighter late Shri Nathuram Tikriha, late Shri Sukkalal Tikriha and late socialist Shri Gokul Prasad Tikriha in village Silghat (Bimbhauri) of Bemetara district through video conferencing from his residence office here today. Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Chhaya Verma, present in village Silghat, presided over the program.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that our elders are our heritage and guide. He made an important contribution to our society as well as the history of the country. Village Silghat has been a pragati shil village politically, socially and educationally. Where many celebrities were born here. The freedom fighters late Shri Nathuram Tikriha and late Shri Suklal Tikriha actively participated in the freedom struggle of the country. Both these great personalities along with Acharya Vinova Bhave had also contributed significantly in the Bhumi Daan movement. Social worker Late Shri Gokul Prasad Tikriha was sarpanch for 25 years. He also contributed significantly to the Bhumi Daan movement. He always strived to solve the problems of farmers and laborers.
Regarding the paddy purchase system, the Chief Minister said that every possible effort is being made by the State Government to arrange gunny bags for the purchase of paddy. It has been decided to use gunny bags available with rice millers, PDS and farmers for paddy procurement. He also announced the acceptance of Mangal Bhavan in village Silghat on the occasion.
On this occasion, Collector Bemetra Mr. Shiv Anant Tayal, Member of District Panchayat Bemetra, Mr. Rahul Yograj Tikriha, Member of Birla Janpad Panchayat Kumari Pooja Tikriha, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Silghat Mrs. Sandhya Tikriha, All Yoganand Tikriha, Aditya Tikriha and all members of the Tikriha family And villagers of Gram Panchayat Silghat were present.
