Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh attends Economic Conclave held in New Delhi

Emphasis placed on strengthening rural economy

Raipur, 26 March 2021.  Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that economic reforms and fundamental changes can happen in the country and the state only if the rural economy is strengthened. During this, he stressed on strengthening the rural economy. Mr. Baghel attended the 7th Indian Economic Conclave held in New Delhi today, where he spoke about enabling the common people financially to improve the economy of the country. Other dignitaries from all over the country were also present at the conclave.
In the Economic Conclave, Mr. Baghel said that due to rural development schemes, the villages of Chhattisgarh are seeing a big change in just two and a half years. Mr. Baghel said that with the formation of the state government, we prepared a road map for the economic development of Chhattisgarh. Under which the farmers’ loan was first waived, bought paddy at Rs. 25 per quintal, gave Rs. 5 thousand crores to farmers as an input, purchased forest produce at support price, provided employment under MNREGA. , Which improved the economic condition of farmers, poor and laborers.

 

Mr. Baghel said in response to a question that Chhattisgarh will have a significant contribution in the country’s economy in the coming years. He said that Chhattisgarh is on the path of development with a focus on rural economy.
The state government is increasing employment opportunities in the villages through various schemes. Apart from the core sector, the village industry is being promoted. He said that Chhattisgarh government is doing important work in the field of health and education along with employment. During this, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh’s economy remained dynamic even during the economic crisis arising out of Corona. During this period, boom in automobile sector, increase in GST collection and purchase of maximum forest produce.
