The entrance test for admission to classes 6 and 9 in All India Sainik Schools for the academic session 2023-24 will be held on Sunday, January 08, 2023. This exam will be organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). To appear in this examination, online applications will be filled on the website www dot nta dot ac dot in or aissee dot nta dot nic dot ac dot in on 30 November 2022 by 5 pm.
According to the information received from Sainik School Ambikapur, the entrance test will be conducted in 33 Sainik Schools of the country for admission in classes 6 and 9. The residential education in Sainik School will be in English medium based on CBSE syllabus. The cadets will be trained by officers from the National Defense Academy, Indian Coast Guard Academy and other training academies along with studying at the Sainik School. 18 new Sainik Schools will be opened by Ministry of Defense through MoD certified NGO, private and state government run schools, in which education will be imparted under partnership. These schools will be run by the Sainik School Society. Under the academic session 2023-24, the students selected through the entrance examination in the new Sainik Schools will be admitted in class 6.
It is noteworthy that the entrance examination will be held on 08 January 2023 (Sunday), in which the mode of examination will be based on OMR sheet. The exam pattern will be multiple choice questions. The examination will be conducted in 180 cities of the country as per Center Information Bulletin. For admission in class 6, the age of the candidate should be between 10 to 12 years as on March 31, 2023. Girl candidates will be given admission in class 6 in all Sainik Schools. Admission will be given on the basis of merit in the selected new Sainik Schools. For admission in class 9, the age of the candidate should be between 13 to 15 years as on March 31, 2023. Candidate must have passed class VIII from recognized school at the time of admission. Examination fee for General, OBC (Non-Creamy), Defence, Ex-Servicemen category is Rs.650, The examination fee for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is fixed at Rs 500. The last date for submission of online form for the entrance test will be done on 30 November 2022 till 5 pm. Payment of online form will be done through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI etc. till 11.50 PM on 30th November 2022.
