Spread the love

Raipur, 15 December 2021. One who lives with nature, lives in harmony with nature and one who remains positive is always healthy and healthy. This was stated by the Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey while addressing the program organized on the occasion of the launch of the Environment Teerth-Raipur Project today. He called upon the common people to take a resolution and said that considering nature as a mother, respect it the same way, do not exploit it indiscriminately. What we get from nature, save it and preserve it for the coming generation also. Governor inaugurated the Raipur project of environment pilgrimage at Mahadev Ghat on the banks of Kharun river in the capital Raipur and prayed for happiness and prosperity of the state by performing aarti of Kharun river.
The Governor said that with the launch of this project, we will move a step forward in the direction of realizing the dream of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Ms. Uike said that the environment we live in should be pure, the water we use should be potable. He said that in the blind race of development, we kept harming the nature unknowingly, whose horrific consequences are coming out in the form of climate change. Now the time has come to protect the environment and minimize the use of harmful elements like plastic.
He said that rivers have a great importance in our culture. Rivers are life-giving. We have always worshiped rivers as Mother. In this project, the concept of setting up eco-tirth on the banks of rivers has been envisaged, under which Shiv-Ganga aarti will be organized. This means that we should take a pledge to keep the rivers clean and make every effort for that. Do not throw garbage in it, prevent dirty water from drains from going into the river. Work to keep rivers clean with community participation.
The Governor said that Banyan, Peepal and Neem plants would be planted through this project and Tulsi plants would also be distributed. These plants have great importance in our society from religious, economic as well as environmental point of view. It is believed that by worshiping them and giving water, one attains virtue. If seen from a scientific point of view, the ability of peepal and banyan to provide oxygen is unmatched, which purifies the atmosphere. Neem is helpful in destroying bacteria, as well as basil proves helpful in increasing immunity. Tulsi drink was used during the Corona period, which benefited the common people.
On this occasion, the Governor planted Peepal and Banyan saplings and distributed Neem and Tulsi plants. Along with this, a pledge was also made to the people not to use plastic. He also respected the fishermen and sailors. Former Rajya Sabha MP Shri Gopal Vyas also gave his address to the program.
