As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, a one-day training was organized by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer for the senior police officers of the state for the upcoming Assembly General Election – 2023During the training organized at Naveen Vishram Bhawan, Raipur, Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh Mr. Ashok Juneja , Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal Mr. Ariz Aftab and Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu Mr. Satyabrata Sahu gave training regarding security arrangements during the elections. Chhattisgarh’s Additional Director General of Police and State Level Force Coordinator Mr. Vivekanand Sinha , Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale and State Police Nodal Officer Mr. O.P. Pal was also present during this period.
Addressing the inaugural session of training of senior police officers of the state, Chief Electoral Officer Smt. Reena Babasaheb Kangale highlighted the importance of various training sessions today, their necessity and the efforts to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections by using election related laws in the upcomingassembly elections . Underlined the role of police officers. Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja gave information about the pre-preparations , necessary actions to be taken to maintain law and order in the state during the elections, and necessary arrangements for the police forces coming from other states for the elections. He extended his best wishes to the police officers for successful conduct of elections in the state.

Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal Mr. Ariz Aftab, who came from New Delhi as a resource person, informed the officials about the preparations to be done before the announcement of elections, vulnerability mapping, criticality analysis, before the voting day , on the voting day and during voting . Gave intensive training regarding the security arrangements to be made after. Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu, Shri Satyabrata Sahu discussed the need for armed forces during elections , their deployment , deployment of local police force , model code of conduct ,Gave detailed information about election expenditure monitoring and law and order. State’s CAPF Nodal Officer Mr. Saket Kumar , E.E.M. Nodal Officer Shri S.C. Dwivedi , Communication Nodal Officer Mr. Ratanlal Dangi and Joint Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar along with the State Inspector General of Police , Superintendent of Police , Additional Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police participated in the training.
