With the advent of the holy month of Sawan, the 150 km long Kanwar Yatra from Amarkantak to Bhoramdev temple has begun by Shiva devotees. On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, special arrangements have been made to make this journey smooth and safe so that the devotees do not face any problem during the journey.
As per the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma, doctors and health workers have been deployed at more than 15 places for the Kanwariyas. Special arrangements have also been made for police patrolling for security. Superintendents of Police have been instructed to make better security arrangements, which includes the duty of 4 police patrolling teams and Sub-Divisional Officer Police. Special arrangements have been made for Kanwariyas to stay at more than 20 places during the journey. There is a provision of free food and night stay at Mrityunjay Ashram in Amarkantak. The food includes dal-bhaat, vegetable, sweets like kheer, puri and halwa. Bolbam Coordination Committee and local officials are engaged in monitoring this arrangement.
On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, medical staff has been deployed at various places for the Kanwariyas. Patrolling parties have been formed to maintain peace and security during the padyatra. Patrolling parties have been deployed from Kawardha to Bemetara Highway Road, Kawardha to Bhoramdev, Bodla-Podi-Pandatarai-Pandariya, and Pandariya to Kukdur border area. During the month of Sawan, under the initiative and instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma, special attention is being paid to the safety, health and accommodation facilities of the Kanwariyas, so that they can complete their journey without any difficulty.
