Tribals of Antagarh visited Indonesia to know and understand the innovation of tribal culture, agriculture and forest produce collection

Shared study experience after meeting Chief Minister Mr. Baghel

On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Gotul Raccha Samiti of tribal-dominated Antagarh in Kanker district of the state got an important opportunity to visit Indonesia. The journey of the committee members who went on the study trip was so interesting and full of experience that on their return, they went to meet the Chief Minister directly under the leadership of MLA Mr. Anoop Nag and shared their experiences with ease.

During the meeting with the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the members happily told him that traveling outside the state was a dream and impossible for us, in such a situation, you have shown us the tribals on the foreign soil of Chhattisgarh’s identity, culture, agriculture, tradition. The demonstration and the important opportunity it provided to learn and understand the innovations happening in the agriculture and forest produce of those countries, has become memorable for us forever.

This 13-member study team of Gotul Raccha Samiti Antagarh was on a tour of Indonesia from May 8 to May 18 for the study of tribal culture, traditional agriculture, forest produce collection in Indonesia with the financial grant of Chhattisgarh government. The team included members from different places of Antagarh area located in remote Vananchal of the state. Among them, Mr. Parmanand Uike, President of Gotul Raccha Samiti Antagarh, including Mr. Rajuram Usendi, Ramsingh Markam, Kanglu Ram Komara, Satish Tekam, Aghan Singh Salam, Manik Lal Komara, Suresh Kumar Mandavi, Jugal Ram Usendi, Kheman Kumar Usendi, Birsingh Mandavi, Anil Kumar Dugga and Dinesh Kumar Dugga.
