Raipur, 08 February 2022. On the special initiative of Labor and Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, administrative approval of Rs. The demand for restoration of these three irrigation structures and repair and lining of canals was being made by the farmers of the region for a long time. The rejuvenation of these three irrigation structures will improve their irrigation efficiency, which will benefit the farmers.
Minister Dr. Dahria informed that Rs. 3 crore 99 lakh 69 thousand for the renovation and canal lining of Kosarangi reservoir located in Arang area, Rs. one crore 46 lakh 22 thousand for the renovation and canal lining of Seoni tar dam and Rs. One crore 32 lakh 44 thousand rupees have been approved for repair and canal lining. He said that with the rejuvenation and canal lining of Kosarangi reservoir, it will meet the shortfall of 178 hectares in 1610 hectares, besides irrigating 44 hectares in additional area, besides irrigation water supply for a total of 1654 hectares. Similarly, by renovating Paloud stop dam and canal lining, 80 hectares of area and Seoni tar dam rejuvenation and lining will remove the shortfall of 108 hectares, besides water supply for irrigation in a total area of 210 hectares.
