Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid tribute to Chhattisgarh state’s first dreamer late Dr. Khubchand Baghel by garlanding his portrait and lighting a lamp on his death anniversary today.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Dr. Khubchand Baghel had first dreamed of the state of Chhattisgarh. He devoted his whole life for the welfare of the society and the farmers. He played an important role in many social movements including in the field of education, cooperation. During the Indian freedom struggle, Khubchand ji did the important work of awakening national consciousness in Chhattisgarh. Dr. Khoobchand also strongly attacked social evils. He started the break the row movement. Spread public awareness against social evils by writing plays like Karamchadha, Janrail Singh and Unch-Neech. Expressing respect for his work and personality, Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme in the medical field and Dr. Khubchand Baghel Samman has been established to encourage important achievements and research in the field of agriculture.
