A man committed suicide by shooting himself in Khamtarai area of Raipur. The person who died was an officer in a steel company. The police have not received any suicide note from the spot. Because of this, it could not be clear why he took his life. The police of Khamtrai police station is probing the matter.
The incident is of Dhan Laxmi Nagar area adjacent to Bhanpuri. Alok Singh (45) was living here with his wife and 3 children. Alok Singh, a resident of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, was a management officer in a company named Niko Ispat. It has also come to light that he resigned from the institute 2 days back and has now committed suicide. According to the information received so far, the incident took place around 12:00 noon on Friday. At that time one son and two daughters of Alok were going to school. There was only wife at home. Then suddenly there was a sound of fire from the bedroom. Hearing the sound of firing, when the wife ran towards the bedroom, she saw the dead body of her husband lying on the ground stained with blood. After this the neighbors were informed and the matter reached the police. The wife fainted.
Sonal Gwala, in-charge of Khamtrai police station, who is probing the case, said that till now the reasons for the suicide have not been ascertained. The family members of Alok living in Uttar Pradesh have also been informed. The wife is in shock since the incident, she is fainting again and again. Only after questioning the wife, something can be said further in this matter. After the funeral of Alok, the police will interrogate the family members in this matter.

It is discussed that Alok Singh had a transaction of money with some people. He was troubled due to debt. Before his death, he had also asked for jewelery from his wife and shot himself after some time. Mazdoor Congress leader Raj Singh Hada told that there was work pressure on Alok, he was living under stress for the last few days. The police is working by keeping all these aspects under investigation. He was fond of weapons and took his life.
Alok Singh was fond of weapons. He had taken the pistol license from Uttar Pradesh itself, which he later got transferred after coming to Chhattisgarh. For the last 3-4 years, Alok was working while living in Raipur. He committed suicide with the same pistol which he had kept near to protect himself.
