Raipur: Nutrition campaign is growing rapidly towards its goal

  Raipur, 13 October 2020. The impact of the malnutrition campaign being run by the state government to eradicate malnutrition is beginning to be seen. With the successful implementation of this scheme started on 2 October 2019, about 14 percent of the children across the state have become free from malnutrition. In Kanker district, the administration has taken a decision to provide minikits of vegetable seeds free of cost to the families of malnourished children, taking the malnutrition liberation seriously. In addition, compost manure will also be provided to them so that the parents of such children can grow green vegetables in their home and feed themselves to the children. Apart from this, it has also been decided to provide free mosquito nets to the families of malnourished children. The administration said that this will help 08 thousand 760 malnourished children in Kanker district to become malnourished.
    The Collector of Kanker district gave orders related to this effect to the departmental officers. According to the instructions of the state government in the district, nutritious hot food is also being distributed to malnourished children through Anganwadi centers, in which pulses, rice, vegetables as well as eggs are being supplied. It is worth mentioning that the Chief Minister Sucharnishan Abhiyan is being conducted with the aim of eradicating malnutrition and anemia. In the first phase, the program will be conducted for three years in all the districts of the state. Health and Family Welfare, Panchayat and Rural Development, Urban Administration, Food, Education, Horticulture, Public Health Engineering and Women and Child Development Department will play important roles in the campaign.
