Raipur: Now the swollen Shabri river will not stop in the rainy way – Minister Lakhma

Minister  Lakhma inaugurated the bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 11 crore.
Raipur, 9 February 2021.  State Industries Minister Shri Kavasi Lakhma today inaugurated the bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore 95 lakh 45 thousand on Ganjenar-Kodaripal Ghat of Shabari river during his stay in Sukma district. On the occasion of the inauguration of this high-level bridge built on the Shabri river in Gram Panchayat Ganjenar under Chhindgarh development block of Sukma District, Minister Shri Kavasi Lakhma congratulated the villagers and best wishes. 
    Minister Lakhma said on the occasion that the swollen Shabari river will not stop the way of the villagers during the rainy days. With the construction of this bridge, the villagers of Chhindgarh development block will be able to travel. The Shabari river, the lifeline of Sukma district, is in spate during the rainy season, causing difficulty for the local people to move around. In the past, the residents of Ganjenar had to cover a distance of more than 45 km via Sukma, the district headquarters to go to village Kodaripal, Buddi, Kavasiras, located at the other end of Shabri river. Now this distance has been reduced to a distance of just 5 kilometers. About 5 to 6 panchayats have been connected to Ganjenar with the construction of the bridge. The movement of villagers to Kodaripal, Kavasiras, Borguda, Gumma, Talnar and Buddi will be smooth. Now, even in the rainy season, the villagers will be able to travel very easily. 
     He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the Government of Chhattisgarh is working with full commitment for the development and progress of rural people. He said that the backward area like Sukma is now developing rapidly. Five bridges have been constructed on the Shabari river for the smooth movement of the residents. In the coming days, bridges will also be constructed in Motu, Gadiras, Pedaras, Peramaras. For rural development, he called infrastructure like roads, bridges, schools, paddy purchase centers, anganwadi etc. On this occasion, District Panchayat President Mr. Harish Kavasi and other public representatives, Collector Mr. Vineet Nandanwar, SP Mr. K.L. Villagers including Dhruv were present.
