Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the state government has taken many decisions to empower women economically. In this series, in the gratitude conference of Anganwadi workers, assistants and Mitanins organized at the Science College grounds of Raipur on May 02, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel announced the decision to give loans up to Rs 6 lakh to women’s groups and simplify the eligibility conditions for women to take loans. Had announced. The state government has issued an order in this regard. 
Under the loan scheme of Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh, such women groups who have taken loan for the first time and have completed the entire Patna, will now be eligible for a maximum loan of Rs 06 lakh instead of Rs 04 lakh. Also, the loan of Rs 04 to 06 lakh will be repaid in 60 monthly installments after 6 months of receiving the loan from women self-help groups. Again, the benefit of loan eligibility will be given only to the beneficiaries who pay regular installments.
Apart from this, the eligibility conditions under Saksham Yojana have been relaxed. The eligibility of the female beneficiary to take loan will be determined on the basis of her own annual income instead of the annual income of the family. Instead of family annual income amount of Rs. 01 lakh, now the woman whose annual income limit is up to Rs. 02 lakh will be eligible for loan.
It is noteworthy that Mahila Kosh provides loans at the rate of only 3 percent annual interest to economically enrich women through loan scheme and Saksham Yojana. With the aim of promoting self-reliance of women, Chief Minister Shri Baghel has increased the budget of Mahila Fund by almost 10 times to Rs 25 crore in this financial year. Besides, an allocation of Rs 25 crore has also been given for the new Kaushalya Samriddhi Yojana.
