One lakh 90 thousand 907 voters will exercise their franchise
Raipur, 09 October 2020. Notification was issued on 9 October for the by-election of Assembly Constituency Marwahi-24. With this, nomination papers started. According to information received from the District Election Office of Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi, no nomination papers were filed for the Marwahi Assembly constituency on the first day.
It is noteworthy that one lakh 90 thousand 907 voters will exercise their franchise in Marwahi assembly election. Among them 97 thousand 209 women, There are 93 thousand 694 male and 04 third gender voters. There has been an increase of 6 thousand 886 voters in Marwahi this time as compared to the previous assembly elections-2018. Election is to be held for Chhattisgarh State Assembly Constituency 24-Marwahi. For this seat reserved for Scheduled Tribes (STs), candidates can file their nominations by 16 October 2020. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on 17 October 2020 while the candidates will be able to withdraw their names by 19 October 2020. Voting for the Marwahi Assembly by-election will take place on 3 November 2020, while the counting of votes will take place on 10 November 2020.
