Education Secretary Mr. Pardeshi inspected the schools of Gariaband district

Education Secretary Mr. Pardeshi visited Gariaband district today and reviewed the condition of teaching and learning in schools. During the inspection of Government Pre-Secondary School Baruka and Malgaon, the Education Secretary expressed displeasure over the sharp decline in the learning level of class 8th students and the extremely weak subject understanding of the students. He held the school’s Head Teacher Mr. Lalit Kumar Sahu (Baruka) and Cluster Coordinator Mr. Bhupendra Singh Thakur (Malgaon) fully responsible for this and directed to suspend them with immediate effect. In compliance with which, Divisional Joint Director Mr. Rakesh Kumar Pandey issued an order to suspend both of them with immediate effect.
During the inspection of Government Pre-Secondary School Baruka, Education Secretary Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi asked simple questions to the students to test their level of knowledge. The Education Secretary found that the level of educational knowledge of the students is very weak. The Education Secretary also asked questions about teaching-learning from the teachers working in the school, Mrs. Deepa Sahu and Mrs. Kavita Sahu. The educational level of both the teachers posted in the school was not found satisfactory, the Education Secretary expressed displeasure over the poor cleanliness and management of the school. On the instructions of the Education Secretary, the Education Officer has issued show cause notices to both the teachers and has sought their reply.
