Raipur: No problem selling paddy, farmers are happy with token system

Raipur, 09 December 2020. The token system made by the Chhattisgarh government for the purchase of paddy on the support price in the marketing year 2020-21 is excellent. For the first week, the committee had to wait for weighing. Due to which paddy was stolen and also damaged. Now there is no problem in selling paddy. The farmers are happy with this arrangement. This is to say that of Ramkumar Sahu, a farmer of village Bahtarai in Bilaspur district, who reached the procurement center, Sarakanda, to sell his paddy on support price.
Small and marginal farmer Ramkumar Sahu owns 1.58 acres of land. He sold 24 quintals of thin paddy at the procurement center located at the Seva Cooperative Society, Sarakanda. On the third day of selling paddy, at the rate of Rs 1888 per quintal, the money of paddy sale reached his account. Under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana, 11 thousand rupees have been received in three installments. Ramkumar says that this year his family also celebrated Deepavali very well as he got paid the third installment before Deepawali.
Similarly, farmer Om Prakash Yadav is also very satisfied with the paddy procurement system of the Chhattisgarh government. He has a 3.5-acre farm, in which he sold 37 quintals of paddy last day. Today he reached the committee to sell 14 quintals of paddy. He has kept 5 quintals of paddy at home for his family. On the second day of getting the token, his paddy is being weighed and after two days he also got money. He has received Rs 20 thousand in three installments under the Rajiv Gandhi Nyaya Yojana. He has spent this amount on the education of his children and has also deposited it in the bank as a savings. Their financial condition is also good by getting the amount in between.
In the same committee, Dhaniram Gandharva, a farmer who has come to sell paddy, has produced 22 quintals of crop in a two-acre field. Dhaniram told that he had received the token yesterday. He also expressed satisfaction over the system. Last year, the amount of three installments of paddy sold was Rs 11,200. Dhaniram told that this time he celebrated Diwali as Samriddhi festival.
