Raipur, 18 November 2020. The officials of NITI Aayog New Delhi have appreciated the work being done for employment generation and development of villages under the Suraji Gram Yojana of the Government of Chhattisgarh. Niti Aayog advisor Ms. Samyukta Samaddar and her colleague have expressed happiness over the successful implementation of this unique scheme of the government and the job creation. He was happy to know that beautiful, attractive and useful items are being made by the villagers.
Ms. Samyukta Samaddar, Advisor to the Government of India, NITI Aayog, visited the Gothans at village Serikheri and Behar in Raipur district with her colleagues and interacted with the women of the Self Help Group. Women told that soap, sanitizer, incense sticks are made by women of groups in the livelihood center of Serikheri, Mushroom production and tailoring are being done. More than 200 women have been employed through this center. An action plan has been chalked out by the state government for effective marketing of the material produced in rural centers. Due to which the sale of the materials manufactured in these centers is done as soon as possible. These centers have been developed by the state government in coordination with the Chief Minister’s overall development plan and MNREGA etc. This scheme of the state government is an effective step towards women empowerment. NITI Aayog officials also visited Gowthan of Baihar at Arang and got information about Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa and Bari and Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mr. Pradeep Sharma told the officials of NITI Aayog regarding Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa, Bari and Godhan Nyaya Yojana that conservation, promotion of animals is happening in Gothan. Large quantities of vermicompost compost are being made from cow dung in Gothan. Materials like Gamla, Diya, Agarbatti, Mask etc. are being manufactured through self-help group. This has led to additional income for the villagers in the difficult period of Kovid-19. NITI Aayog officials Dr. Neetu Goradia, Mr. Mukteshwar Singh were present during the visit.
